Why Medellín

The hospital we work with here is a nonprofit university hospital with around 500 physicians, full specialist depth on site and more than two decades of experience with international patients. It has been accredited by Joint Commission International four times and scores in Tier 2 of the HGM Trust Index.

Its executive check-ups are led by an internist and run in English, with dedicated international coordinators and a case manager. It is one of the most cost-effective ways to get a complete preventive baseline from a hospital of this standard.

Your check-up

  • Three program levels, Classic, VIP and Premium, chosen with the hospital's team
  • An internist-led day of consultations, laboratory testing and age-appropriate screening
  • Results in three to five days, reviewed in person before you leave or by telemedicine from home
  • A physician-translated English summary of your results

Is this right for you?

It is not suitable during pregnancy or for anyone with new or unexplained symptoms, who should see their own doctor first. The hospital's team reviews every request and makes the final decision.

Questions

How does reserving work?

Choose your preferred dates and reserve with the button above. Your card is authorized (held) for the $500 planning fee, not charged. We connect you with the hospital's international team, and once they confirm your dates your card is charged. If no date works, the hold is released.

Is the check-up included in the $500 fee?

No. The $500 is HGM's planning fee. You pay the hospital directly for your check-up, in Colombian pesos (cards accepted). Every patient pays the same published price.

Will my results be in English?

The hospital's international coordinators speak English, and you receive a physician-translated English summary of your results. Follow-up is available in person or by telemedicine. The neurological check-up is offered in Spanish only.

When are dates not available?

The hospital closes on Colombian national holidays, and schedules are reduced during Holy Week and from December 24 to January 6. For any other date, we send your request and the hospital confirms.

When do I receive my proposal?

Within one week of your dates being confirmed, with hotel options, transfers, travel insurance and optional excursions to choose from.

Do I need to send medical records?

No. We never ask for your medical records. The hospital's team screens every request and sends its own questionnaire directly to you.
